(1) Our diabeties Group is about bringing people with diabetes together in a kind of social group. We normally meet most months on the second Wednesday of the month at Cwmbran RAFA Club at 7.30pm.
We have guest speakers attend our meetings, some to talk about the serious stuff of diabetes care and management, and others to chat about general life interests.
When we do not meet at the RAFA Club we like to have coach trips to places of interest. Our year starts with our AGM in January and concludes with a Christmas meal in December.
Anyone with diabetes or who is a carer for some with diabetes is welcome to attend our meetings. Relatives and friends are welcome.
We promote our meetings in the South Wales Argus and, in future, here on Connect Torfaen.
With current Covid-19 restrictions we are unable to meet but hope to do so later in the year when restrictions are eased.
(2) LMCG was formed in 2006 with the aim of supporting events at the Manor while helping to create a community hub for activities such as needlecraft and gardening. The Manor is currently closed but the hop is that it will re-open soon and we can resume our activities.
