Fairhill Methodist Church has strong links to the surrounding community. Over several years we have developed the Connxions Community Garden to the rear of the property and it is up and running. We do, however, need support from the community to further develop and maintain the gearden so that it's full potential is exploited. The garden has raised planters which can be used by wheelchair users in which we have grown a mixture of vegetables and flowers. We also have a few recently planted fruit trees which will give fruit in future years. We continue to develop links with local schools so that learning opportunities can be exploited. We have recently started a warm space for anyone in the community who may be struggling to keep warm at home. We currently open from 9:30 to 1:30pm on a Tuesday, all are welcome to be warm and share in a hot drink including soup and a roll. Acitities are provided such as reading matter, jigsaws and games. A church service is held every Sunday morning at 10:45 am everyone is welcome.
