Blaenavon's Heritage Railway runs through the Blaenavon World Heritage Site in Torfaen on the edge of the Brecon Beacons. The railway is open to passengers on Saturdays and Sundays from 1st April until the end of September each year. The railway is open every Bank Holiday and Wednesdays during the school summer holidays. Throughout the year the railway offer special events such as a 1940s weekend, a model railway exhibition, a classic transport rally and a steam gala with visiting locomotives in action. The railway also presents a Halloween Ghost Train and in December the very popular Santa Specials.
