Torfaen Community Transport is a local charity that relies upon volunteer passenger assistants to assist the elderly and less able passengers when traveling in the minibus. Duties Include Assisting the driver. Assisting members boarding. and alighting the vehicles. Stowing Walking Aids . Loading / unloading and fixing of wheelchairs. A reasonable level of fitness and good mobility are essential for this type of work. For all volunteers, enhanced DBS, and other checks are essential.
